What did you want to be when you were younger?
Like many young people, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. From an early age I was exposed to accounting and finance through my grandfather – he worked in the profession and this had a lasting influence on me. Listening to his experiences and insights gradually sparked my interest and helped shape my own career aspirations. Looking back, his influence played a key role in guiding me towards accounting.

What made you choose your current profession?
My decision to pursue a career in accounting was inspired largely by my upbringing and academic journey. After developing an interest in the field through my grandfather, I went on to study Accounting and Finance and graduated with a first-class honours degree from Strathclyde University. The combination of personal inspiration and academic exposure confirmed that accounting was the right fit for me, offering both intellectual challenges and long-term career prospects.
